Your first steps in the Savanna
StepEvery player begins in the Savanna, which is the starter biome and costs nothing to access. The Animal Rescue Centre sits to the right of the spawn area, and a Food Market is right beside it.
- Explore the biome walk the Savanna and look for animals with a red cross above their name, which means they are injured.
- Take a photo point your camera at the injured animal and tap it; a prompt will ask if you want to send it to the rescue centre.
- Buy supplies head to the medicine shop next to the Animal Rescue Centre and buy medicine or bandages for 30 coins each; the rescue centre menu shows how many you need for each animal.
- Wait for healing once you apply the supplies a 30-second countdown begins; when it finishes you can adopt or release the animal.
- Adopt press the Adopt button and the animal teleports straight into your enclosure, as long as there is a free space.

Keeping animals healthy in your enclosure
CheckAnimals in your enclosure have five needs. You do not have to keep them maxed out constantly, but every indicator must be green when you want to release a raised adult. Each need requires a piece of equipment you buy from the enclosure shop.
- Hunger buy food from the Food Market in the Savanna; check the animal encyclopedia to see what each animal eats.
- Thirst buy a water trough from the enclosure shop, then refill it by collecting a water bucket from the tap in front of the main building and carrying it to the trough.
- Cleanliness buy a washing station from the shop, equip the washing tool it provides, and tap on your animals to clean them.
- Fun buy toys from the shop; the more animals you have, the more toys you need.
- Vegetation buy plants that match the animal's home biome, for example Savanna plants for a White Rhino; again, the more animals you have, the more vegetation you need.
Breeding animals and earning gems
TipsBreeding is the main way to earn gems. Once a bred animal grows through the newborn, infant, junior, and teen stages to become a raised adult, releasing it pays out gems — up to 700 gems per animal depending on rarity. The higher the rarity, the bigger the payout.
- To breed, place two adults of the same species in your enclosure, click both, and press the heart icon; a baby appears shortly after.
- After breeding, the two adults cannot breed again for five minutes.
- Young animals only need feeding and bathing as they grow, and only one need at a time.
- Critically Endangered animals give the most gems upon release.
- Big cats such as the Black Leopard, Florida Panther, and Saharan Cheetah only eat meat, making them simpler to feed than animals with varied diets.
- Once you have two Critically Endangered adults, breed them repeatedly to build up more pairs.
Camera and player upgrades
TableCamera upgrades are sold inside the temple in the Rainforest biome, and player upgrades are in the Desert biome's temple. Every upgrade runs from level 0 to level 6, and all six levels cost the same gem amounts regardless of which upgrade you are buying.
| Upgrade | What it does | Where to buy |
|---|---|---|
| Megapixels | More coins earned per photo | Rainforest temple |
| Speed | Faster photo capture | Rainforest temple |
| Memory | Holds up to 30 photos at max level | Rainforest temple |
| Range | Take photos from farther away | Rainforest temple |
| Attack Protection | Less damage from animal attacks | Desert temple |
| Walk Speed | Move faster across biomes | Desert temple |
| Waterproof Camera | Photograph underwater animals in the Arctic Tundra | Arctic Tundra biome |
Biomes, quests, and unlocking new areas
SummarySome biomes also introduce new mechanics, like the Arctic Tundra requiring a Waterproof Camera to photograph its animals.
- Savanna free starter biome, connected to the Rainforest and Desert
- Rainforest costs 30,000 coins, home of the Camera Upgrades Temple
- Arctic Tundra costs 325,000 coins, requires the 3,500-gem Waterproof Camera to photograph underwater animals
- Alpine Tundra costs 750,000 coins, the tenth biome in the game
Disasters and animal attacks
WarnSeveral biomes have random disaster events that injure the animals currently spawned there. On top of that, some animals in the wild can attack and kill your character.
Photography and milestone badges
TipsYour camera is useful for more than rescuing animals — photos earn coins, and the Megapixels upgrade raises the coin value of every shot.
- A Critically Endangered animal photo earns 1,500 coins at level 0 Megapixels, rising to 2,250 coins at the maximum level.
- Memory upgrades let you store up to 30 photos at once instead of the default 5.
- Badge milestones for photography are at 1,000 photos, 10,000 photos, and 100,000 photos.

Common questions
FAQHow do I release a raised adult from my enclosure?
All five need indicators — hunger, thirst, cleanliness, fun, and vegetation — must be green at the same time. Once every indicator is green the release option becomes available, and you will receive gems based on the animal's rarity.
What do I do when the water trough runs empty?
Go to the water tap on the front of the enclosure's main building and interact with it to fill a bucket. Carry the bucket to the empty trough and tap on it to refill it.
How do I find out what a specific animal eats?
Open the in-game animal encyclopedia and go to that animal's page; its diet is listed there. You can then buy the right food from the Food Market in the Savanna.
Can I visit another player's enclosure?
Open the map and tap the house icon button, then select the enclosure you want to visit. You can only enter it if the other player's privacy settings allow visitors.
Why can't my two adults breed?
Adults cannot breed again for five minutes after their last pairing, and breeding is also blocked when the enclosure is completely full.
