Gem-powered tools worth knowing about

Tips
In short These four gem-shop tools speed up routine farm work.

The Item shop sells four premium tools that cost gems.

Tips worth knowing
  • Mega Cultivator (1,450 gems) tills a 3x3 area at once.
  • Planter Cart (1,950 gems) plants or fertilizes farmland as you walk and holds up to 99 seeds or fertilizers at a time.
  • Water Sprayer (1,950 gems) waters farmland as you walk and holds up to 250 water in a single fill.
  • Grass Cutter (500 gems) automatically cuts grass and flowers as you walk through them.
04

Earning gems

Check
In short Gems come from several free sources every day.

Gems are the premium currency used for advanced tools and instant egg hatching. Several reliable free sources exist.

  • Collect the daily bonus logging in gives 5 gems, and every 22 hours after that you earn one more, up to 10 gems on day six and beyond.
  • Complete daily quests from Trader Tom, Blacksmith Brooks, and Master Kara each quest rewards 8 gems, and they expire within 20 hours of being offered.
  • Work through Researcher Robin's quest line her quests focus on farming progression and award a total of 205 gems across all of them. Her quests do not expire.
  • Sell gem-purchased items you no longer need doing so returns 50 percent of the gem cost.
  • Unlock Kara's Guild Tower by reaching a total combined skill level of 30, then accept her daily quests for 8 gems each.
05

Animals and breeding

Tips
In short Set up proper pens with food, water, and enough space, then match one male and one female to start breeding rarer animal varieties.

Six animal types are available: Chickens, Cows, Sheep, Horses, Pigs, and Rabbits. Only Cows and Chickens produce items used in baking. Sheep produce Wool. Pigs, Horses, and Rabbits produce no items. All breedable animals need food, water, a fully enclosed pen, and one male paired with one female.

Tips worth knowing
  • Chickens — unlocked at Farming level 3; need at least 5 free tiles per bird; lay one egg every 5 to 7 minutes depending on breed.
  • Cows — unlocked at Farming level 5; females produce milk every 10 minutes; a Barn nearby cuts that cooldown by 5 minutes; pen must be at least 28 tiles (6x5) for breeding.
  • Sheep — unlocked at Farming level 7; both genders produce Wool; pen must be at least 22 tiles (5x5) for breeding; Wool sells for 200 coins each.
  • Horses — unlocked at Farming level 6; pen must be at least 48 tiles (8x6) for breeding; any pair of horses has a 1 percent chance of producing the ultra-rare Enchanted Horse.
  • Pigs — unlocked at Farming level 8; pen must be at least 22 tiles (5x5); mature in approximately 42 minutes.
  • Use the Magnifying Glass from Blacksmith Brooks to check whether your animals are satisfied.
06

Pets and what they do

Tips
In short Pets can harvest crops, chop trees, mine rocks, forage, and collect dropped items automatically.

Pets are hatched from eggs purchased in Town and are separate from farm animals. Access the pet menu from the backpack icon at the top left of the screen — it becomes available after completing the Getting Started tutorial quest.

Tips worth knowing
  • Pet rarity decides their stats: Common pets deal 1 damage, Uncommon deal 2, Rare deal 4, and Legendary deal 5.
  • When a rare or legendary pet hatches, it is announced in the server chat.
  • Plain Egg costs 500 coins; Farmer Egg costs 1,000 coins.
  • You can skip the incubation wait by paying gems for an instant hatch — for example, the Plain Egg costs 5 gems to hatch immediately.
  • Pets roam up to 6 tiles away from you while working.
  • If a chicken egg lands on tilled land or a path and becomes invisible, assign a pet to collect it.
07

Town — the five NPCs and what they offer

Table
In short Town also gives starting players access to shared stations like the Compost Bin, Sawmill, Smelting Kiln, and Builder's Table before they have unlocked those structures on their own farm.

Common questions

FAQ

How do I get bait for fishing?

Mine rocks and chop fallen logs around your farm — doing so gives a small chance of finding worms. Once worms appear in your backpack, equip your fishing rod and drag the bait into the bait slot. On PC you can shift-click the bait while the rod is equipped.

How do I make concrete and bricks?

Open the Build menu, go to the shop, and buy a Concrete Mixer for 500 coins — it requires Mining level 3. Place the mixer, insert 5 Stone, and wait one minute to receive 2 Concrete. To make Bricks, take 4 Concrete to the Builder's Table in Town.

Can crowded animals still produce items?

Cows and Sheep will still produce items even in a crowded pen, but Chickens stop laying eggs when each bird has fewer than 5 free tiles. Animals cannot breed when crowded regardless of species.

How do I get more silo storage?

Purchase the Tall Metal Silo from the shop — it requires Farming level 6. If another player on your server already has a silo, you can access it directly from Town without needing your own.
