How a shift works
StepCustomers queue up and you deal with them one at a time. Each interaction runs through the same sequence.
- Scan the items pass each product's barcode through the scanner to register it; you do not need to memorize what anything costs.
- Confirm the total the final amount appears on screen once all items are logged.
- Take the payment collect the money from the customer to finish the transaction and move to the next person in line.
The Boss Rage Meter
WarnThe Boss is watching your every move throughout your shift. Every mistake you make pushes the rage meter higher, and a full meter means instant dismissal.
Dynamic events and boss meetings
TipsThe shopping mall never closes — it operates on a continuous weekly cycle. On top of regular shifts, two recurring situations break up the flow.
- Dynamic events like Karen Runs can erupt during a normal shift and need to be handled differently from standard customers.
- Boss Meetings put your work directly under scrutiny through exams.
Spending your earnings
TableThe money and levels you earn during shifts can go toward two different kinds of progress.
| Register upgrades | make your scanning and checkout faster and more efficient. |
| Career promotions | advance your rank from Trainee all the way up to the ultimate Store Manager, using money and levels earned on the job. |

Common questions
FAQHow many players can join one session?
Up to nine players can be in the same session at once.
What actually causes a game over?
The Boss Rage Meter filling up completely gets you fired, which ends the run. Wrong ID checks, shoplifters you miss, and unhappy customers all push it higher.
Do I need to memorize product prices?
No — scanning the barcode registers every item automatically and the total appears on screen. You never have to look up or recall a price yourself.
