Oaklands is a sandbox tycoon game where you chop trees, mine ores, process materials, and use the money you earn to build structures and automated machines. This guide walks you through getting started, growing your income, exploring the map, and fixing common problems.
In shortYour first goal is to chop trees, sell the wood, and use that cash to buy better tools and processing machines.
When you first load in, trees are the easiest resource to grab. Cut them down with an axe, sell the lumber, and put that money toward mining tools and processing equipment. Once you have those, you can start turning raw materials into more valuable products before selling them.
Get an axeyou need one before you can chop a single tree.
Chop the trees around youwood is your first reliable source of cash.
Sell the lumberget money in your pocket before spending on anything else.
Buy a pickaxethis opens up mining as a second income stream.
Purchase a processing machineprocessed materials sell for more than raw ones.
In shortWood is the easier starting point, and both wood and ore can be processed before selling to increase their value.
Oaklands replaced its old Stock Market with Daily Material Values, so the worth of each material changes every day. Both wood and ore can be processed before selling to increase their value.

In shortFerwater is the place to go once you want rarer materials, hidden shops, and tougher challenges.
Physical maps have been added around the world to help you navigate, and chat tips appear every three minutes with helpful reminders. Ferwater, reached by crossing the bridge from Finlay, holds more varied and valuable materials than the starting zone.
Tips worth knowing
Cross the bridge from Finlay to reach Ferwater, which has rarer trees, rocks, and ores.
Ferwater is split into distinct biomes — the Savanna, Desertlands, Frozen Desert, Desert Rift, and several cave systems, among others.
Scorpions and frogs appear in Ferwater and can be caught for money.
Ferwater has four shops: Illumine Designs, Fungi Finds, the Pirate Boat Shop, and Dugg's Digging — but they are spread far apart.
Many walls in Ferwater are breakable; pick up explosives from the Pirate Boat Shop to open hidden areas.
Fungi Finds is a secret shop hidden behind a breakable wall inside Uncertainty Cave — bring a bomb to reach it.
Look for physical maps placed around the world when you get lost; a minimap is planned but not yet in the game.

Hidden quests and secrets worth knowing
Check
In shortFerwater holds several quest items and secret locations that reward players who explore carefully and bring explosives.

Skull Rock sits on top of a lone rock plateauthe Skull quest item is behind a breakable floor inside it.
Breaking that floor takes at least three low-tier explosives, so stock up first.
Bring the Skull to the Magma Caves in Mike's Mines to turn it into the Burning Skull, part of the Emberbane Axe quest.
The Desertlands Pedestal on the northern side of the savanna is used for the Uncertain Pickaxe and Adurite Key quests.
Uncertainty Cave has multiple entrancesthe easiest exit is through the Desert Mines entrance near Illumine Designs.
Blue glow worms appear on the walls inside the water cove in Mike's Mines and can be collected with jars for quick cash or decoration.

Lumberjack and Miner badge milestones
Summary
In shortThe badge tiers give you a long-term sense of progress and show how deep the grind can go.
There are four tiers for both chopping and mining, starting at 100 and climbing to 100,000 each. Play-time badges work the same way, running from 24 hours all the way to 648 hours.
In shortEvery core activity in Oaklands is free, though one Robux-only feature exists.
Chopping, mining, processing, building, and automation are all available without spending Robux. The one paid feature currently in the game is the Vinyl Creator, an experimental machine above the Oak Depot that is still a work in progress.
Tips worth knowing
The Vinyl Creator above the Oak Depot requires Robux and is still being developed.
Chat tips appear every three minutes in-game; you can turn this off in the settings.
