OverviewBREAK IN AND STEAL THINGZ1!1!1 >:D is a co-op PvE game where you play as a contractee hired by the ROBLOX Archivists Company (RAC) to recover Artifacts from various locations while avoiding dangerous Entities. This guide covers controls, how to play both sides, the Entities you will run into, and how to unlock badges.

Controls for both roles
Table
In short
Your controls change completely depending on whether you are playing as a contractee or an Entity, so check your role before the round starts.
Every round assigns you a role — contractee or Entity. Contractees use one set of inputs to move, interact, and survive; Entities use a different layout focused on attacking and using skills.

Playing as a contractee
TipsIn short
Your job as a contractee is to collect Artifacts without letting Entities — or bad decisions — stop you.
The RAC has hired you to retrieve Artifacts from locations around the map. Entities will try to stop you. How you manage your HP across a round also opens up different badge rewards.
Tips worth knowing
- Crouching with C makes you harder for Entities to detect, but a crouching contractee can still be killed.
- If you want the Sparkly Clean badge, you must finish an entire round without taking any damage at all.
- If you want the SELFISH. badge, end a round with more than 175 HP as a contractee.
- If you want the BURNOUT badge, complete a full round without sprinting once.
- Avoiding Entities is only worthwhile as long as it does not get in the way of retrieving Artifacts.

Every Entity has its own badge, so encountering each one for the first time is itself a milestone.
There are six named Entities in the game. Running into any of them for the first time unlocks the badge listed below.

Playing as an Entity
Check
In short
If you are assigned the Ashle role, winning without going postal unlocks a unique badge on top of the standard encounter reward.
When you play as an Entity your goal flips — you are the threat that contractees need to avoid. Your controls change to a skill-based layout, and some Entities have specific win conditions that come with their own badge.
- Use Q, E, and F to cycle through your three skills, and M1 to attack.
- If you are playing as Ashle, try to win the round without going postal doing so earns the Calm And Collected badge.
- A crouching contractee can still be killed.

Badges beyond combat
Tips
In short
Several badges have nothing to do with fighting, so you can chase them on any run.
Not every badge requires you to outplay an Entity or survive a tough round. Some reward exploration, spending, consistency, or simply showing up two days in a row.
Tips worth knowing
- Buy any emote to unlock the JUST DANCE badge.
- Play on two consecutive days to earn BACK FOR SECONDS?.
- Win a bid to collect the BET-RIGHT badge.
- Accumulate a Networth above 100,000 to earn the Ballin' badge.
- Finding a special Artifact during a run unlocks the Speciality badge.
- Inside Arch Park there is a hidden code — find it, enter it, and you will earn the Geo Guessr badge.
- The A Tourist Destination badge — awarded for visiting every map in one sitting — was noted by the developers themselves as untested.
Glossary
Glossary- Contractee
- The player role hired by the RAC to retrieve Artifacts from locations while avoiding Entities.
- Entity
- An in-game threat that contractees must avoid; some Entities are also playable roles with their own controls and skills.
- Artifact
- The collectible object that contractees are sent to retrieve, and the main objective of each mission.
- Networth
- Your total accumulated in-game wealth; pushing it above 100,000 unlocks the Ballin' badge.
- Bid
- An in-game auction mechanic; winning one earns you the BET-RIGHT badge.
- RAC
- The ROBLOX Archivists Company, the in-game organization that contracts players to recover Artifacts and research Entities.
Common questions
FAQCan I play as an Entity instead of a contractee?
Yes. When you are assigned an Entity role your controls switch entirely: Q, E, and F become your three skills, and M1 is your attack.
Is crouching enough to stay safe from Entities?
No. Crouching makes you harder to detect, but an Entity can still kill you while you are crouched.
The game crashed or acted strangely. Is something broken?
The game is in alpha and the developers acknowledge it is janky and sloppy.
What is the hidden code in Arch Park for?
Finding and entering the special code hidden inside the Arch Park map unlocks the Geo Guessr badge.
