About

Overview

Prison Break Tower drops you into a standoff between prisoners trying to escape and police trying to stop them. Pick a side, learn the ropes, and work toward some of the toughest milestones in the game. This guide covers both roles, your currency goals, and the badges that mark real progress.

Choosing your side

Table
In short Your role decides your entire goal, so understand what each side is working toward before you pick.

At the start of a session you choose between prisoner and police. Prisoners aim to break out of the tower; police aim to arrest criminals and keep the tower secure. Both sides have their own badge milestones, so there is real replay value in switching between them.

First steps as a prisoner

Step
In short Getting out of the tower is your immediate goal, and doing it once unlocks your first major badge.

You start inside the prison tower the moment you load in. Successfully leaving the tower earns the WANTED badge, which is the first real proof of progress on the prisoner side.

  1. Confirm your starting position you begin inside the tower
  2. Attempt the escape push toward the outside of the tower to trigger the WANTED badge
03

First steps as a police officer

Step
In short Your first arrest is the clearest short-term goal, and a hundred arrests is the long road to VETERAN.

Joining the police unlocks the FIRST DUTY badge right away, so the role immediately rewards you. From there, focus on making arrests. One arrest earns FIRST ARREST, and grinding that up to one hundred earns VETERAN — one of the higher-effort badges in the game.

  1. Join the force selecting police at the start unlocks FIRST DUTY automatically
  2. Make your first arrest bring in one criminal to earn the FIRST ARREST badge
  3. Keep arresting track your count as you work toward the 100 needed for VETERAN
04

Balance and bounty goals

Tips
In short Reaching a seven-digit balance and a 10,000 bounty are the two hardest long-term milestones for prisoners.

Two separate numbers track prisoner progress: your cash balance and your bounty. Both have badge thresholds worth knowing before you grind.

Tips worth knowing
  • Hitting a seven-digit balance earns the MILLIONAIRE badge
  • A bounty of 1,000 earns MOST WANTED and puts every police player on alert for you
  • A bounty of 10,000 earns BOUNTY ELITE
  • Cash Drop was added back on April 19, giving prisoners another way to build their balance
05

Playing during Open Beta

Warn
In short The game is still in Open Beta, so expect changes and stay flexible.

Prison Break Tower is currently in Open Beta, which the developers have stated openly. That means balance tweaks, bug fixes, and new features can arrive at any time — the April 19 update that restored Cash Drop and added the prison mailbox is a recent example.

Worth watching out for
Anything can change abilities, mechanics, and balance are all subject to adjustment without notice
Keep an eye on update notes so you know when mechanics you relied on have shifted

In short Use this table to pick your next target and know exactly what you need to do to earn it.

Every badge is earned automatically when you hit its condition. Prisoner and police badges are separate, so completionists need to play both sides.

Common questions

FAQ

Can I switch between prisoner and police?

You choose your side at the start of each session, so you can play prisoner one run and police the next. Both sides have their own independent badge milestones.

What happens when my bounty hits 1,000?

Every police player in the tower has their eyes on you. You also earn the MOST WANTED badge at that point, and your next long-term bounty target becomes 10,000 for BOUNTY ELITE.
