How a round works
SummaryAt the start of each round the shotgun is loaded with a mix of live shells and blanks. You and your opponents take turns choosing what to do with it. Landing a live shell deals damage; a blank wastes your shot but can still serve a purpose if the odds favor it. The last player standing wins.
Items and when to use them
TableItems arrive each round and can completely change who has the advantage. The game gives you several distinct tools: peeking at the next shell, racking one out of the chamber, handcuffing a rival, healing yourself, inverting a shell, or stealing what an opponent was holding back.
| Peek | best when you need certainty before deciding whether to shoot or skip |
| Rack a shell | best when the next shell is dangerous and you want to skip past it |
| Handcuff | best when your opponent is about to shoot and you need to buy one safe turn |
| Heal | best when your health is low enough that one live shell would finish you |
| Invert | best when the next shell is a blank and you want to turn it into a live round before firing |
| Steal | best when an opponent is sitting on a powerful item and you can put it to better use immediately |
Reading opponents and managing odds
TipsBuckshot is a game of counting every shell spent and lying to your opponent's face. That means two things matter above everything else: the math of what shells remain, and the psychology of the person across the table.
- Count how many items an opponent has used; fewer items remaining means fewer surprises left in their hand
- Bluffing works both ways: acting confident when the odds are against you can push an opponent into a bad choice
Ranked mode and progression
CheckBeyond casual tables, Buckshot has a ranked ladder that runs in seasons with exclusive titles and a global top 100. Separately, every match where you win earns in-game cash you can spend on cases to unbox skins. Skins range from Common to Contraband, and rare drops can carry a TrakStat module that logs your kill count. Collecting skins and clearing daily quests raises your level and unlocks larger rewards over time.
- Open cases with your winnings to unbox skins across multiple rarity tiers
- Check whether a drop includes a TrakStat module if kill tracking matters to you
- Earn animated titles through the collection and leveling system
- Hit the Trading Hub to swap skins and titles, or hunt for limited guns that exist in very small numbers
- Like the game and join the official group to receive a free Deluxe Case and bonus cash

Common questions
FAQCan you play without spending real money?
Yes. Winning matches earns cash that you can spend on cases without paying anything. Joining the official group also gives you a free Deluxe Case and bonus cash.
Is there a single-player mode?
Buckshot is built around player-versus-player matches. You can choose between 1v1 duels, three-player tables, and four-player brawls, but the game does not have a solo mode separate from those.
Do all skins work the same way in gameplay?
Most skins change appearance only. However, certain rare drops come with a TrakStat module that records and displays your kill count, which is a functional difference beyond looks.
How does the ranked season work?
You start ranked play in placement matches and climb a ladder from there. Each season offers exclusive titles for top performers, and a global top 100 leaderboard tracks the best players.
