Where beginners should start

Guide

01 Your first match as a Survivor Learning the map and staying near teammates in your first few matches will get you further than any individual skill.
02 Survivor roles and what each one does Knowing your role before the match starts shapes every decision you make from the first second.
03 Looping — the core survival skill Running circles around obstacles is the single most effective way to waste the Killer's time and keep your team alive.
04 Playing as the Killer Covering the whole map and finishing downed Survivors quickly matters far more than winning any single chase.

It's such a contradiction! When I play survivor, killer is pretty meta right now so you basically have to loop to win, but when someone does it to me while playing killer, it pisses me off so much!
