About

Overview

Forsaken is an asymmetric horror survival game on Roblox where one player hunts as the Killer while everyone else tries to survive until the timer hits zero. It won the RIA 2025 Best Survival Experience award and is currently in alpha, with new killers, maps, and game modes still being added. This guide covers both roles, how to pick a killer, and what to fix when you keep losing.

Your first match as a Survivor

Step
In short Learning the map and staying near teammates in your first few matches will get you further than any individual skill.

When a match starts, one player is randomly chosen as the Killer and everyone else plays as a Survivor. Your job is to stay alive until the timer reaches zero, and repairing generators around the map is how you make progress and earn points. Before you start chasing generators, take a few seconds to learn where the walls, pillars, and corridors are — those are your escape routes.

  1. Check your role confirm at the start of the match whether you are a Survivor or the Killer before doing anything else.
  2. Find a generator locate one and start repairing it, since multiple Survivors working on the same generator finish it faster.
  3. Listen constantly the Killer's approach changes the audio cues, so headphones help you react before they arrive.
  4. Break off early if you hear the Killer getting close, stop repairing and move away rather than finishing the current work.
  5. Help downed teammates a teammate who gets knocked down can be revived before the Killer executes them, keeping your numbers up.
  6. Watch your stamina running drains your stamina gauge, and once it is empty you can only walk, so never sprint needlessly.

Survivor roles and what each one does

Table
In short Knowing your role before the match starts shapes every decision you make from the first second.

Survivors are split into three roles that each suit a different style of play. Playing to your role's strengths instead of ignoring it raises the whole team's chances of surviving. Check which role you have at the start and adjust your priorities accordingly.

Survivalistbuilt for solo movement, evasion, and repairing generators away from the group.
Sentinela front-line role that stuns the Killer and draws attention to protect teammates.
Supportkeeps allies alive through healing and buffs, making the team last longer overall.
03

Looping — the core survival skill

Tips
In short Running circles around obstacles is the single most effective way to waste the Killer's time and keep your team alive.

Looping means running around pillars, walls, or other obstacles so the Killer cannot close the gap. Every second you keep the Killer chasing you is a second your teammates spend repairing generators. The more of the map's layout you memorise, the better your loops become.

Tips worth knowing
  • Head for areas with lots of obstacles — open ground gives the Killer a straight path to you.
  • Never run into a dead end — memorise which corridors lead nowhere before the Killer shows up.
  • Keep your stamina above empty so you can sprint the moment a chase starts.
04

Playing as the Killer

Step
In short Covering the whole map and finishing downed Survivors quickly matters far more than winning any single chase.

Only one player per match becomes the Killer, chosen at random from the server. Your goal is to take out all the Survivors before time runs out. Staying mobile across the whole map and using your character's unique skill regularly are what separate effective Killers from ones who fall behind.

  1. Follow generator sounds when Survivors repair a generator you can hear it, so move toward that noise to find them.
  2. Do not tunnel one target spending too long chasing a single Survivor lets the rest repair generators unchallenged.
  3. Attack to down, then execute knock a Survivor down and finish them off quickly to reduce the team's numbers.
  4. Use your skill without hesitation each Killer has a unique ability that decides matches, and saving it too long wastes it.
05

Killer roster and who to start with

Table
In short Start with Slasher at no cost, and move to c00lkidd with Player Points if you want a versatile paid option.

Most Killers are purchased with Player Points, which you earn just by playing matches. Slasher is the only Killer available for free. Harder Killers can be devastating when used well, but punish mistakes more severely than beginner-friendly options. Azure is the newest addition to the roster.

Slasherfree, uses bleeding attacks and can sense nearby Survivors, beginner-friendly and reliable at any level.
c00lkiddpaid, handles close and long range with three complementary skills, easy to pick up for players of any experience.
John Doepaid, uses traps and giant spikes to cut off escape routes, suited to intermediate and advanced players.
Nolipaid, confuses Survivors with fake generators and teleportation, requires strong map knowledge.
1x1x1x1paid, tracks all Survivors' positions and health while applying pressure at mid to long range, and can zombify killed players.
Nosferatupaid, moves silently and can turn invisible to ambush Survivors, but mistakes hand the opposing team an advantage.
Guest 666paid, capable of chaining kills with full cooldown resets and vision disruption, but has a large hitbox that gets caught in loops.
Azurepaid, the most recently added Killer.

Warning: things that will get you banned or hurt

Warn
In short Cheating risks your account, and sharing personal information in chat puts you at real risk outside the game.

Forsaken has a huge player base, which means some players behave badly. The game also contains flashing lights and loud audio — if you have epilepsy, the developers recommend not playing. Read the points below before jumping in.

Worth watching out for
Do not use cheat tools or external scripts doing so can get your account permanently banned.
Anyone offering free Robux or passwords is running a scam; never respond to those messages.
Do not open links sent by strangers in the game chat.
If you have epilepsy or are sensitive to flashing lights, the game contains those effects and the developers advise against playing.
Never share your real name, school, address, or any other personal information in game chat.
07

When you keep losing — things to check

Check
In short Most losing streaks come down to stamina mismanagement and not knowing the map well enough to loop effectively.

If you have played several matches and feel stuck, run through this list before changing anything else. The problems are almost always in the fundamentals rather than the character you chose.

  • Are you burning through stamina too early? Running out mid-chase means the Killer catches you instantly.
  • Do you know where the looping spots are? Finding one obstacle-heavy area you know well changes how long you survive.
  • Are you leaving downed teammates behind? Letting the Killer execute them shrinks your team fast.
  • Are you using your Killer's skill? Fighting without it puts you at a serious disadvantage every match.
  • Do you know which corridors are dead ends? Getting cornered in one means you cannot escape.

Common questions

FAQ

How does the game decide who plays as the Killer?

At the start of each match, one player from the server is picked at random to be the Killer.

Can you enjoy Forsaken without spending any Robux?

Yes — the free Killer, Slasher, is available at no cost, and Survivors have characters available from the start. Player Points accumulate just from playing, so you can unlock paid content over time without spending real money.

Do I need to use voice chat to play well?

No — the game offers both VC servers and standard servers, so you can pick whichever suits you.

What is the best way to survive as a Survivor when the Killer finds you?

Head straight for an area with walls or pillars and start looping — running tight circles around obstacles forces the Killer to take a longer path to reach you. Keep your stamina from hitting zero so you can keep sprinting throughout the chase. Every extra second you stay alive gives your teammates time on the generators.

How do I unlock more Killers?

Play matches to earn Player Points, then spend them in the shop on whichever Killer you want.
