About
OverviewVolleyball Legends is a 6v6 volleyball game where you spike, block, dive, and compete in ranked matches. Your character's power comes from Styles and Abilities you collect through a gacha spin system. This guide covers controls, earning Yen, how spins and pity work, how Abilities charge and function, and what to do when things go wrong.

Basic controls
TableAll core volleyball moves map to just a handful of inputs. On PC you use the mouse, Q, and Ctrl; on console you use RT, LT, and X. Serving has its own sequence regardless of platform: click or press RT to toss, click or press RT again to set the power, then jump and hit. Tilting the camera at the moment of contact curves the ball, making it harder for the other team to return.

Ways to earn Yen
CheckYen is the currency you spend on spins. A Normal Style Spin costs 100 Yen and an Ability Spin costs 250 Yen. You earn Yen by playing matches, levelling up, and standing in the AFK area while the game runs. Roblox Premium members get a 10% bonus on every Yen they earn.
- Score and level up during matches for Yen
- Park your character in the AFK area when you step away so Yen accumulates automatically
- Redeem codes from the Shop for Lucky Spins, which save Yen entirely
- Roblox Premium is active gives a 10% Yen bonus
How Abilities work
TipsThere are 14 Abilities across five rarities. Each one must be charged before you can use it during a match. Charge builds up when you touch the ball or score a point after having the last touch. The gauge does fill on its own over time, but the passive rate is so slow that you should not rely on it. Secret Rarity Abilities are locked until Level 15, and each Ability Spin costs 250 Yen.
- Equip an Ability separately from your Style — it does not activate otherwise
- Touch the ball and go for scoring plays to charge your Ability faster
- Lucky Ability Spins are obtained through codes, the Season Pass, Robux, or gifts from other players and offer significantly higher chances of high-tier Abilities
- The Ability pity at every 50 spins gives a random Legendary or Godly Ability — unlike Style pity, you cannot target a specific Ability from it
- Secret Ability pity triggers every 200 spins and gives a random Secret Rarity Ability (halved to 100 during a 2x event)
How the spin and pity systems work
StepThere are two spin types for Styles: Normal Spins cost 100 Yen each, while Lucky Spins are obtained through codes, the Season Pass, Robux, Easter eggs during Season 14, or gifts from other players, and offer significantly higher chances of obtaining high-tier styles. Secret, Ultra, and Evo styles are locked until you reach Level 15. During 2x Luck/Pity events the number of spins required to hit pity is cut in half, and those events run from 11:30 AM EST every Saturday until 11:30 AM EST every Monday.
- Select your target style before spinning so pity rewards go to the right place if you do not select a style you will receive a different, unwanted style
- Normal Pity every 50 spins triggers a randomized pity: 94.5% chance of a random Legendary style, 5% chance of a random Godly style, or around 0.5% chance of a random Secret style; Normal Pity does not reduce the required spin count during 2x Luck/Pity events
- SECRET PITY coinflip every 200 spins you get a 50/50 shot at your chosen style (reduced to every 100 spins during a 2x event)
- SECRET PITY guaranteed 200 spins after the coinflip pity it is 100% guaranteed (reduced to 100 spins during a 2x event)
- ULTRA PITY every 400 spins guarantees the Ultra style you have selected (200 during a 2x event)
- EVO PITY every 400 spins guarantees the Evo style you selected (200 during a 2x event)
Choosing a style for your position
TipsStyles set your base stats — serve power, block strength, set speed, jump height, and spike power all vary depending on which style you equip. There are 44 styles across seven rarities, split between 23 permanent styles and 21 limited ones. Secret, Ultra, and Evo rarities require Level 15. Abilities are a separate gacha and give you special moves to activate during a match.
- Setters want styles that boost set speed and buff teammates' spike power
- Spikers want styles with high spike power and strong tilt stats
- Ultra styles grow stronger as you complete Mastery quests, and at Mastery Level 5 the style gains a new ability
- The single current Evo style improves through a six-point Skill Tree unlocked by completing Ranked quests
Redeeming codes
StepDeveloper codes give out Lucky Style Spins and Lucky Ability Spins for free. Each code works once per account and many expire after a limited time. If a code fails, check for extra spaces at either end, confirm it has not expired, and make sure you have not already used it.
- Reach Level 15 the redemption system is locked below this level
- Open the Shop tap the Shop icon in the game's UI
- Go to the Codes tab it sits inside the Shop menu
- Paste the code type or paste it exactly, watching for capital letters and underscores
- Press Use Code the reward lands in your account immediately
Common problems and fixes
CheckA few specific problems come up repeatedly, and most of them have a clear fix.
- "TOO EARLY" appears on spikes you are pressing the button before the ball reaches you; wait for the ball to get close before swinging
- Serves keep getting returned easily try tilting the camera at the moment of contact so the ball curves
- Style does not feel effective check that the style's stat focus matches your role, since setter stats do not help a spiker
- Special moves never activate Abilities must be equipped separately from your style, and they also need to be charged by touching the ball
- Lost ELO because a teammate quit if the departure happened within the first 15 rounds, the ELO penalty you receive is reduced by 50%

Common questions
FAQCan I get strong styles without spending Robux?
Yes. Yen builds up from matches, levelling, and idling in the AFK area, so you can spin entirely for free given enough time. Free codes also hand out Lucky Spins directly. The pity system means that if you keep spinning you will eventually land a high-rarity style.
My spike keeps saying TOO EARLY. What am I doing wrong?
You are pressing the button before the ball is close enough to hit. After you jump, hold off and let the ball travel down toward you before you swing.
When can I use codes and access Secret, Ultra, or Evo styles?
All three — code redemption, Secret styles, Ultra styles, and Evo styles — become available once your character reaches Level 15.
What happens if a teammate leaves my Ranked match?
If the player leaves within the first 15 rounds and your team ends up losing, your ELO loss is cut by 50%.
Why is my Ability never ready to use?
Ability charge builds mainly from touching the ball and from scoring a point when you had the last touch. The passive charge rate is extremely slow, so staying involved in every rally is the only reliable way to keep it available.
When is the best time to spin for Secret or Ultra styles?
Every weekend a 2x Luck and Pity event runs from 11:30 AM EST Saturday until 11:30 AM EST Monday. During that window Secret, Ultra, and Evo chances double and every pity threshold is halved.
