OverviewWar of the Worlds is a large-scale PvP battle game where up to 70 players split into two sides — humans and alien Tripods — and fight to earn EXP and grow their characters.

Picking your side at the start
Table
In short
Your choice of side determines how you fight and how you earn EXP.
When you join a match, you choose to play as either a human soldier or an alien Tripod. Each side plays differently.
| Human | join the military and shoot at alien machines, earning EXP for every hit |
| Tripod | use a powerful alien machine to eliminate human players, earning a flat 100 EXP per kill |

Earning EXP as a human
TipsIn short
Accurate shooting is the key to earning EXP on the human side, and your weapon choice affects how much you get per hit.
Human players earn EXP each time they land a shot on an enemy. Both shield hits and body hits count. The amount of EXP per hit depends on your weapon.
Tips worth knowing
- Every hit on an enemy shield rewards EXP
- Every hit on an enemy body also rewards EXP
- Different weapons give different amounts of EXP per hit

Glossary
Glossary- EXP
- Experience points earned during battle by damaging or killing enemies; accumulating EXP develops your character.
- Tripod
- The alien faction's giant machine unit, controlled by players who choose the alien side.
- Shield
- A defensive layer on Tripod units; human players earn EXP for hitting it.
- PvP
- Player versus player combat; in this game that means humans and Tripods fighting each other in real time.
Common questions
FAQCan I play without spending anything?
The core loop of joining battles and earning EXP is free. Credits exist in the game, but you can fight and progress on both sides without them.
Is the game changing soon?
