BEYBLADE X-BATTLES Guide: How scoring and winning work
About
OverviewBEYBLADE X-BATTLES is the official Roblox experience for BEYBLADE X, where you face off against rivals in 1v1 battles and, as of Beta 12.0 on September 8, 2026, in 2v2 team matches too. The Beta 13.0 update on October 15, 2026 added Bey Part Gifting, letting you send spare parts to friends, and an October 29, 2026 patch disabled bubble chat in the open area for a cleaner battle experience. This guide walks you through the scoring system, how to pick and upgrade your Bey, how X-Skills work, and what to do when you keep losing.

How scoring and winning work
TableEvery match is decided by points, not by time. In a 1v1 match the first player to reach 4 points wins; in a 2v2 match the target is 5 points for the team. There are four ways to knock out an opponent's Bey, and each one is worth a different number of points, so chasing a three-point Extreme Finish can end a game in a single big moment.
| Spin Finish | 1 point |
| Burst Finish | 2 points |
| Over Finish | 2 points |
| Extreme Finish | 3 points |
| 1v1 match target | 4 points |
| 2v2 match target | 5 points for the team |
The four Type Skills
TableEach Bey carries one of four Type Skills, and the skill activates on its own during a match. The Type Skill is set by your Bit part, so whenever you swap a Bit, double-check which skill you now have. Because it runs automatically, choosing the right one before the match matters more than reacting in the moment.
| Smash (Attack) | boosts attack power for aggressive charging |
| Boost (Balance) | raises all stats evenly for a mobile all-rounder style |
| Parry (Stamina) | deflects incoming attacks to protect spin |
| Counter (Defense) | reflects enemy attacks back with a barrier |
Getting and using X-Skills
StepX-Skills are powerful special abilities tied to specific Bey packs. Tackle is available from the start and works with any Bey, so you always have something to use while you build toward the stronger skills. Unlike Type Skills, you decide when to trigger your X-Skill during a fight — save it for the right moment rather than firing it straight away.
- Start with Tackle it is the default X-Skill available immediately, no unlocking needed
- Open packs each opening gives you a Blade counted toward that pack's unlock threshold
- Track your count you need 15 Blades from a pack's eligible set to unlock its X-Skill
- Unlock Gordias (BB-06) a defensive skill that repels attacks with a metallic membrane
- Continue through BB-07 to BB-12 each pack unlocks B4, Rainbow, Zodiac, Misleaders, Albatross, and Phalanx respectively
Part Gifting in Beta 13.0
TipsThe October 15, 2026 update introduced Bey Part Gifting. If you own two or more copies of a part, you can send the extra to a friend by walking up to them in-game and pressing the Gift button. The same update also allowed buying multiple copies of the same Bey, which makes it easier to build up duplicates worth gifting.
- You must own at least two copies of a part before you can gift it — the duplicate is what you send
- Walk up to the player in-game and press Gift to start the exchange
- You can send up to three parts in one go
- Buying multiple copies of the same Bey is now allowed, which makes building up giftable duplicates easier
2v2 mode basics
SummaryThe Beta 12.0 update on September 8, 2026 introduced 2v2 as a second battle mode. Each player still fights their own 1v1, and the results combine for the team total. The team target is 5 points rather than 4, and you can watch your teammate's match live while yours is happening.
- Mode two players per team, each pair fights separate 1v1 battles simultaneously
- Win condition 5 combined team points first
- Spectating you can watch your teammate's battle in real time
- EXP reward 150 EXP earned per team point scored

Common questions
FAQWhen do I get my first X-Skill?
Tackle is yours from the very beginning, so you always have an X-Skill in battle. To unlock the next one, open packs from the matching BB series until you have collected 15 eligible Blades — the skill unlocks automatically at that point.
Can I rematch someone after a battle ends?
Yes — a rematch button was added in the Beta 11.0 update, so you can jump straight into another battle with the same opponent. The same update also added a friend-request button at the end of a match.
How does 2v2 work if each player fights separately?
In 2v2, you and your teammate each have your own individual 1v1 match at the same time, and your point totals are combined for the team score. The first team to reach 5 combined points wins. You can watch your teammate's battle live while yours is happening, and both players earn 150 EXP per team point scored.
I collected 15 Blades but my X-Skill still will not activate — what is wrong?
Check that you were opening the correct eligible pack for the skill you want, because openings from a different pack series do not count toward another pack's unlock. If the count looks right but the skill still will not appear, try moving to a new server and then reopening the equipment screen.
Can I play without owning a real Beyblade?
Yes — the game runs entirely inside Roblox, so you collect and build your Beys within the game itself. No physical toy is required.
Can I play solo?
Yes — you can enter on your own and go straight into 1v1 battles against other players.
