Jujutsu Shenanigans Guide: Controls you need to know before your first fight
About
OverviewJujutsu Shenanigans is a PvP brawler on Roblox built around the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, where every complete character is free from the start and every fight is decided by skill alone — no grinding, no gacha. This guide covers the controls, how to build good habits early, how the awakening system works, how to earn cash through quests, tips for playing Register, and how to use items and map locations to your advantage.

Controls you need to know before your first fight
CheckThe most important habit to build right away is keeping your Q dash in reserve — using it to move around wastes the one tool that lets you escape a combo mid-hit. Get used to sprinting with W+W instead, which also steers you around obstacles automatically.
- M1 melee combo, up to four hits in a chain
- 1, 2, 3, 4 your four skill slots
- Q dash, best saved for escaping a stun
- F block
- R special action
- W+W sprint, avoids obstacles on its own
- G awakening, transforms your character when the bar is full
Building and spending the awakening bar
TipsThe red bar at the bottom of the screen fills as you land combos on opponents. When it reaches maximum, pressing G transforms your character into a fully powered-up form with stronger versions of every skill. Domain Expansion is available during awakening and hits hard, but it carries a long cooldown, so picking the right moment matters as much as having the bar full.
- Stay aggressive — the bar only builds when you are landing hits, not when you are blocking
- Use Domain Expansion while the enemy is stunned or has just spent their dash, so they have no way out
- Even in awakening, a whiffed skill can be punished, so watch what the opponent is doing before committing
Events running now or coming soon. They have fixed dates, so check them first.
Choosing your first character
TableStart with one character and stay with it long enough to learn the move distances and combo timings before switching. There are currently 15 complete characters, 6 base-only characters, and 2 Early Access characters.
| Vessel | straightforward combo flow, awakens into a ranged and area-skill form |
| Honored One | quick movement, simple skill layout |
| Ten Shadows | summons shikigami for sustained pressure, more technical playstyle |
| Perfection | highly aggressive, strong but harder to control |
| Restless Gambler | defensive lean, awakening grants a powerful invincibility window |
| Base-Only characters | pressing G triggers a single powerful move instead of a full awakening form |
| Early Access (e.g. Register, Sky Assassin) | requires game pass, still in development |
Using the map to your advantage
TipsThe main map is built around a Shinjuku-inspired area and almost every surface is destructible. Several locations have interactive elements that go far beyond cover.
- Hit the control panel button inside the train station to call a speeding train — anyone caught on the rails takes heavy damage
- Fire extinguishers and trash cans scattered around the map are throwable and deal damage; the towers, cafe, and station are stocked with them
- Items spawn naturally around the map every ten minutes, so keep moving between key spots to collect them before opponents do
- The arcade cabinets in Unlicensed Studios are playable and count toward the daily quest that asks you to score ten points in an arcade game
- Climbing the tower ladders puts you on the highest ground on the map, but destroying one section of a ladder collapses the rest, cutting off the route for everyone

Playing Register
TipsRegister is the 23rd character added to the game, based on a sorcerer who burns receipts to recreate their effects as attacks. As of update 1.82 he has an awakening called Con-Artistry, which heals 25 HP on activation and lets him replace base moves with awakening moves at the cost of awakening gauge. His two awakening moves are Mayhem and Big Moves.
- Drop Littering as a trap, or use it to push opponents away since they know to avoid the placed receipts
- Land the Gushing Wound variant close enough for all six knives to connect — it deals heavy damage and can follow an uppercut
- Use Piano Drop at your own feet against an opponent who rushes in — if they attack during the startup they take the piano instead
- After ragdolling an opponent onto placed litter, pop it and follow up with aerial M1s into a downslam for extra damage
- When Fleche's red seal counter lands, turn around and open the umbrella to discard it and open a follow-up window
- Blunt Trauma can reach inside domains if you angle it correctly
Common reasons you keep losing
CheckAfter each match, ask yourself which of the points below caused the death rather than blaming the opponent's character.
- Using Q to move around instead of saving it for escaping combos
- Throwing all four M1 hits and launching the opponent away before you can link a skill stop at three
- Switching characters every match instead of learning one kit properly
- Not pressing Q when launched, which lets the opponent complete a full combo on you
Redeeming codes
StepCodes hand out free rewards. The developers announce new codes on their official YouTube channel, X account, and Discord server. There is also sometimes a hidden code at the end of the Update Notes notebook inside the game lobby. Each code works only once and is case-sensitive.
- Open the shop click the Shop icon in the top-left corner of the screen
- Find the tab select Rewards / Codes
- Enter the code type it exactly as written and press Redeem
- Check official channels YouTube, X, and Discord are where new codes are announced
- Check the lobby look at the end of the Update Notes notebook for any hidden codes

Common questions
FAQDo I need to grind levels or use gacha to unlock characters?
No. Every complete character is available from the moment you start, and nothing is locked behind grinding or a gacha system. Early Access characters require a game pass.
How do combos work and why do they keep breaking?
Hitting all four M1s launches the opponent away and ends your combo before you can link a skill. Stop at three hits, then chain into a skill — that is the basic form that keeps opponents in range.
What should I do if I get hit by the Register glitch involving Gushing Wound and a throwable?
If another player picks up a throwable that was hit by Gushing Wound and finds themselves unable to attack or reset, the only fixes are leaving the game entirely or having another player hit them. This is a known bug.
How many characters are currently in the game?
There are 15 complete characters free to everyone, 6 base-only characters, and 2 Early Access characters that require a game pass. Additional overpowered and developer-only characters exist but are not available in normal play.
What is the only badge currently obtainable?
First Kill is the only badge you can earn right now — get it by defeating another player for the first time. The other three badges in the game are no longer obtainable.
