Door Guide: Opening the Door and moving between rooms
About
OverviewDoor is a single-player exploration game by Exfaultio where clicking a door handle sends you to a completely random room every time. The game describes itself as 98% a walking simulator, so most of what you do is walk, look around, and interact with whatever each room puts in front of you. This guide covers the core mechanics, how to reach the endings, how to hunt badges, and how to track down the ten hidden buttons for the Loop badge.

Opening the Door and moving between rooms
StepThe entire game starts from one action. Each room you visit is pulled randomly from a pool, and once you have seen a room it leaves that pool until a Cycle resets everything. Knowing how to exit a room early is just as important as knowing how to reach its end.
- Click the handle find the door in the starting room and click its handle to enter your first random room.
- Explore to the end walk through the room and interact with anything you find; most badges require a specific action rather than just arriving.
- Reset out of a room press R on keyboard, the Reset button on mobile, or Y on a controller to break the Void and return to the starting room.
- Wait for a Space warp in some rooms you cannot reset; walk to a certain point or stay long enough and the game automatically sends you back.
- Die if nothing else works dying also returns you to the starting room, so it is always an option when reset and Space warp are unavailable.
- Check the console press F9 on keyboard to open the Roblox console; white-text lines tell you the current room's name, its creator, and its room number.

Cycles, the Source room, and the two endings
SummaryEach room you enter is removed from the generation pool. When you have exhausted the pool, a Cycle completes, every room returns, and the Source room is added as a possible next room. Reaching the Source room then adds the FakeEnd room to the pool. Both endings are earned inside the Source room using its two levers, and the order you pull them decides which one you get.
- Complete a Cycle exhaust the room pool to trigger a Cycle and earn the Cycle badge; all rooms reset afterward.
- Reach the Source room after a Cycle it enters the generation pool; arriving there earns the Source badge.
- Enter the FakeEnd room once you have reached Source, the FakeEnd room joins the pool; simply entering it earns the WRONG badge.
- Thank You ending in the Source room, pull both levers and warp Space to earn the Thank You badge.
- Goodbye Door ending pull one lever to warp Space, return to the Source room, then pull the other lever to earn the Goodbye Door badge.
- Void-less Cycle complete a full Cycle without ever breaking the Void (resetting is banned, but dying is allowed) to earn the Void-less Cycle badge.

Common questions
FAQHow do I skip a room I do not want to be in?
Press R on keyboard, the Reset button on mobile, or Y on a controller to break the Void and return to the starting room. Some rooms block this, so if nothing happens just wait for a Space warp or let your character die.
Will my progress carry over if I leave and come back?
No. Door has no data-saving system and none is planned.
Why can I not find the roman numeral buttons for the Loop badge?
The buttons only appear once you have earned the Thank You badge. If you have not completed the Thank You ending yet, the buttons simply will not exist no matter where you look.
Can I play with friends?
Door is built as a single-player experience and multiplayer will not be added. The Multiplayer room that appears during runs is an ordinary community-made room, not an actual co-op feature.
How do I know which room I am currently in?
Press F9 to open the Roblox console and look for white-text lines; the first tells you the room name, the second gives the creator, and the third shows the room number. If you own the Dev Mode gamepass, holding Shift shows the same information in a cleaner format.
