About

Overview

Airstrikes & NPCs is a solo sandbox on Roblox where you call in airstrikes and artillery, watch NPCs react, and see how buildings hold up under fire. There are no stages to clear and no score to chase — the whole point is experimenting with the systems and seeing what happens.

What this game actually is

Summary
In short This is a testing ground for future projects, not a finished game, so expect rough edges and approach it with curiosity.

The developer built this as a personal sandbox to trial technology for future RTS-style games and battle simulators. Nothing here is final — content can change between sessions and bugs are part of the deal. Because it is a single-player experience, you will never run into other players competing against you.

  • Goal observe how airstrikes, artillery, NPCs, and buildings interact, not reach a finish line.
  • Players solo only, maximum one player per session.
  • State early access, meaning the developer is still actively building and testing systems.
  • Bugs expected in an early build; they are not a sign something is permanently broken.

Calling in airstrikes and artillery

Step
In short Deciding what you want to observe before you fire makes every test more useful.

Before using any strike, decide what you are actually watching for — NPC reactions, building damage, blast radius, or something else. Picking a target well away from your own position keeps you out of the blast. After impact, resist the urge to sprint toward it; zoom the camera out instead so you can take in the full effect.

  1. Target at a distance place the strike away from where your character is standing.
  2. Wait for impact keep the camera pulled back and let the strike land before moving closer.
  3. Let things settle wait for smoke and debris to clear before firing again, both to see the result clearly and to avoid slowdown.
  4. Stop if it gets heavy repeated strikes in quick succession can cause lag; pause and let the game catch up.

Watching NPCs react

Tips
In short Changing one variable at a time — NPC count, distance, or strike type — shows you the most about how the system works.

NPCs are the automated characters the game moves on its own, and watching how they respond to strikes is one of the core things to do here. Standing too close makes it hard to see the full picture and puts your character inside the blast.

Tips worth knowing
  • Start with a small group of NPCs so the results are easy to read.
  • Observe from a distance using the camera rather than walking up close.
  • Compare a dense NPC cluster with a sparse one to see how spacing changes the outcome.
04

Camera position and safe distance

Warn
In short Getting caught inside a blast because you moved toward it too early is the most common beginner mistake here.

High ground, road edges, and any elevated spot give you a clean angle on what is happening without putting you in the middle of it.

Worth watching out for
Do not run toward a strike while it is still in the air.
Pull the camera far back when an explosion is about to land a wide view catches the full effect.
Use elevated positions like rooftops or road edges to observe without being in the blast zone.
05

Fixing lag and bugs

Check
In short Waiting a few seconds and then trying a reset covers most problems you will hit in an early-access build.

Because this is an unfinished build made by a single developer, buttons sometimes stop responding, NPCs can get stuck, and debris can keep flying longer than expected. Mashing buttons when this happens makes things worse.

  • Stop pressing buttons and wait several seconds most hitches clear on their own.
  • Check whether you have been firing rapidly back-to-back strikes are the most common cause of slowdown.
  • Use the in-game reset if waiting does not help.
  • Rejoin the experience if reset does not resolve it.
  • Note what you were doing when the bug appeared that information is useful if you report it to the developer.

Common questions

FAQ

Is there anything to actually beat or complete?

No — there are no stages, objectives, or win conditions. The experience exists so you can test airstrikes, artillery, NPC behavior, and building destruction on your own terms.

Can I play with a friend?

The game is designed as a single-player experience, so there is no co-op or versus setup.

Will bugs get fixed?

The developer is actively working on this, so bugs can be patched at any time — but new ones can appear just as quickly in an early build. If something specific broke during your session, noting what you did and reporting it through the developer's page helps move things along.

Do I need to spend Robux to use everything?

The core testing experience is free to play. If any purchasable items appear, check with a parent or guardian before spending anything.
