Anime Dice Guide: Your first ten minutes
About
OverviewAnime Dice is a Roblox collecting and idle game where you roll dice to get anime-style units, place them in your base to earn money, and use that money to buy better dice and upgrades. This guide walks you through the core loop, what to upgrade first, how to handle your bag safely, and what to work toward in the mid and late game.

Your first ten minutes
StepWhen you first load in, the game walks you through your first roll — follow those prompts. Even low-rarity units earn money, so place everything you get rather than leaving slots empty. Before you sell anything, hit the Equip Best button so the game automatically puts your strongest combination on the field. Hold onto any gems or trait rerolls you receive early; spending them on a unit you will replace wastes them.
- Follow the tutorial do your first roll exactly as the on-screen prompts direct you
- Fill every slot place even weak units rather than leaving any position empty
- Equip Best first press this button before you sell anything in your bag
- Save your resources hold gems and trait rerolls until you have a unit you plan to keep for a while
The core money loop
CheckThe basic cycle is: roll for new units, use Equip Best to update your team, sell leftover units, then put that money back into luck and income upgrades. One rare unit sitting in a half-empty base earns less than a full team of common units. Every time you log in, collect your offline earnings first, then decide where to spend them.
- All slots are filled no empty positions in your base or team
- New units are compared to your current weakest before selling
- Equip Best is pressed before any units are sold from the bag
- Money from sales and offline earnings goes back into luck and income upgrades
- Offline earnings are collected at the start of each session
Events running now or coming soon. They have fixed dates, so check them first.
What to upgrade first
TableThe upgrade tree includes luck, income, roll speed, unit capacity, sell value, move speed, attack, and health. Luck improves the quality of future rolls, and income upgrades let you buy the next dice or ability sooner. If rolling feels slow, put a point into roll speed; if your bag fills up constantly, add unit capacity. Attack and health matter mainly for the tower modes, so leave those alone until you are ready to actually fight.
| Luck | first priority; raises the quality of every roll you make from here on |
| Income | second priority; gets you to the next dice purchase faster |
| Roll speed | add when waiting between rolls becomes the main bottleneck |
| Unit capacity | add when a full bag is interrupting your play too often |
| Attack and health | hold off until you start challenging tower modes |
Dice to save toward
SummaryEach new dice is a major jump in luck and matters more than most small upgrades. When you are getting close to the price of the next dice, it can be worth pausing minor spending to save up. The prices and luck multipliers below were recorded around September 7, 2026, so check the in-game dice shop for current figures before you buy.
- Lightning 500,000 coins, 42x luck; your first upgrade target
- Ice 4,000,000 coins, 100x luck; the step after Lightning
- Magma 30,000,000 coins, 200x luck; the big mid-game milestone
- Storm 200,000,000 coins, 400x luck; the end goal for early to mid game
- Shadow 1,500,000,000 coins, 750x luck; a long-term goal once you are established
Safe way to sell from your bag
StepWhen your bag fills up, open it and press Equip Best before doing anything else. This automatically slots your strongest combination into the team. After that, look through what remains for any units with mutations, high grades, or notable traits before selling the rest. Selling in bulk without doing this first can wipe out units that were better than what you had equipped.
- Open your bag bring up the bag screen before touching the sell area
- Press Equip Best let the game auto-slot the strongest combination
- Check for mutations scan the leftovers for any unusual or rare individuals
- Sell only the leftovers send to the sell area only what remains unequipped after the steps above
Grades, traits, and mutations
WarnGrades affect a unit's income multiplier and are changed by spending gems. Traits are bonus effects attached to a unit and can be swapped using a dedicated reroll item. Mutations mark unusual individuals that are rarer than standard versions of the same unit. Using gems or trait rerolls on a weak early unit is almost always wasted because you will replace it once something better rolls out.
Rebirth and tower modes
TipsRebirth resets part of your progress in exchange for a long-term multiplier on luck and income. The exact cost and what carries over can change based on how many times you have reborn and on game updates, so trust what your rebirth screen shows over any number in a guide. The tower offers three difficulty levels: Dragon Tower is the easiest, Cursed Tower is medium, and Pirate Tower is the hardest.
- Read your rebirth screen carefully — it shows the current cost, the multiplier you will gain, and exactly what resets
- Do not rely on a guide's rebirth numbers — check the in-game screen each time since values shift
- Start with the Dragon Tower to feel out how strong your team actually is in combat
Playing without spending Robux
SummaryPaid upgrades like premium luck boosts speed things up, but nothing in the standard progression requires them. Logging in to collect offline earnings and routing that money back into luck and income upgrades will carry you through each dice tier at a steady pace. Reaching the very top of the leaderboard takes longer without spending, but collecting units and building a strong team is fully achievable for free.
- Offline earnings collect at every login and spend on luck or income immediately
- Roll and reinvest the free loop of rolling, equipping, selling, and upgrading is self-sustaining
- Dice progression each dice purchase is reachable through the free loop alone
- Leaderboard ceiling top positions take more time without purchases

Common questions
FAQDoes money really keep building up when I close the game?
Yes, your base earns money even while the game is closed. Before you log out, press Equip Best and make sure all slots are filled so your team is earning as much as possible while you are away. You do not need to leave your device on.
Can I play this alone, or do I need other players?
You can play entirely on your own. Even if other players are on the same server, you manage your own base, units, and money separately.
What does the '1 in X' number next to a unit mean?
It shows how rare that unit is — specifically how unlikely it is to appear on any given roll. It is not a countdown, and there is no confirmed pity system where rolling enough times locks in a result.
I have two copies of the same unit — which one should I keep?
Compare their mutation status, grade, traits, and the income and combat numbers the game displays for each. Two units with the same name can have meaningfully different stats, so check individually rather than selling by name alone.
The dice prices or rebirth numbers in this guide don't match what I see in the game. Which is right?
The in-game display is always correct. Prices and rebirth conditions change with updates and can vary based on how many times you have reborn. Treat any number in a guide as a rough reference, not a guarantee.
