How turn-based combat works
SummaryBattles are turn-based, so you and your enemies act in order. Many attacks have action commands: timed button presses that change the result. Revive moves go last in the turn order, which matters when an ally is downed.
- Action commands timed inputs during attacks that affect how much damage you deal or receive.
- Turn order you and enemies alternate; revive moves always resolve at the end of a turn.
- Bombs a single bomb can hit multiple enemies; landing four enemies with one is possible and rewarded.
- Line bounce chaining four successful action commands in a single line bounce is its own challenge worth attempting.
- Status effects conditions like Dizzy and Confusion only trigger if the affected character selects an attack move.

Common questions
FAQWhat happens if I picked the wrong stats early on?
You can reallocate your stats — the game awards a badge for doing it, so it is an expected part of playing.
Do I need to start over to play new chapters when they come out?
No. Each chapter releases as an update to the same game, and your existing save file carries you forward into the new content.
What is the best way to deal a lot of damage in one hit?
The True DPS badge requires dealing over 12 damage in a single hit, so reaching that threshold is possible.
Is there anything to do after finishing the current chapters?
Yes — The Pit has floors of enemy encounters outside the story and keeps growing with updates. Side goals like catching all 10 fish, beating the Arcade high score, and clearing all chapter 1 bosses on Hard Mode also give you concrete targets to chase.
