Steal An Egg Mutation Multiplier Rankings: Income and Stacking | Roblox

Steal An Egg Mutation Multiplier Rankings: Income and Stacking | Roblox

Among the 8 mutations with values in our existing Steal An Egg guide, Rainbow has the highest individual multiplier at ×3.5. This compares single mutation multipliers; it does not mean that a Rainbow pet always has the highest final income or is the easiest to obtain.

This page ranks equal multipliers together and explains which pets benefit most and what to check when multiple mutations are present. Additional mutations with unconfirmed multipliers are discussed separately rather than mixed into the ranking.

Steal An Egg is a Roblox game in which you bring eggs guarded by animals back to your base and collect the pets that hatch. Pet income funds upgrades to your base and treadmill. As you run faster, you can explore more distant areas. Pets differ in size and mutations as well as species.

The game supports PC, phones, tablets, and consoles. Build income with eggs you can bring home safely, then look for mutations as you upgrade and explore.

Mutation Multiplier Rankings: 8 Types Compared on Equal Terms

The ranking follows listed multipliers for a single mutation, from highest to lowest. Ties share a rank, with the following rank skipped. These values come from our existing guide and reference materials, rather than new in-game testing.

Rank Icon Mutation Listed multiplier Example with base income 100
1st Rainbow mutation icon Rainbow ×3.5 350
2nd Parasite mutation icon Parasite ×3 300
Joint 3rd Fractured mutation icon Fractured ×2.75 275
Joint 3rd Scrambled mutation icon Scrambled ×2.75 275
Joint 5th Golden mutation icon Golden ×2.5 250
Joint 5th Spirit Bloom mutation icon Spirit Bloom ×2.5 250
7th Bloom mutation icon Bloom ×1.25 125
8th Silver mutation icon Silver ×1.2 120

Mutation icons were compared with images on Steal An Egg Wiki (Fandom). Some are recreations based on those appearances. Source material: CC BY-SA; rights to game assets with separate notices belong to their respective owners.

The rightmost column is a calculation example. It excludes size and other modifiers and does not guarantee any pet’s actual income.

Compare Higher-Ranked Mutations by Multiplier and Acquisition Route

1st: Rainbow Has a High Multiplier, but Base Pet Income Still Matters

Rainbow is described as a mutation available on standard eggs, with a listed ×3.5 multiplier. Its high multiplier does not mean you can reliably apply it to the exact pet you want. Check the income per second of any pet you find and compare it with your current main pets.

Rather than leaving your base at low income while waiting for Rainbow, bringing back more eggs and improving your movement speed can sometimes provide the next upgrade sooner and open a wider exploration area.

2nd: Check the Dedicated Source for Parasite

Hungry Monster
The in-game Hungry Monster information. Source: Steal An Egg Wiki (Fandom)

Parasite has a listed ×3 multiplier. It is described in connection with special eggs and event rewards, rather than under the same conditions as standard egg rolls. Do not assume that repeatedly hatching standard eggs guarantees one. Check the relevant event and reward descriptions before pursuing it.

Joint 3rd: Fractured and Scrambled

Our existing guide lists both Fractured and Scrambled at ×2.75. Their multipliers match, but their associated events and exchange materials differ. Fractured is associated with the Rift and Boss Shop; Scrambled with Dr. Scramble and the Experiment Shop. Choose according to your progress and the rewards or shops currently available.

Before using an item, check its target and application requirements. Being able to buy an item does not guarantee the mutation you want: read the description shown when consuming it.

5th and Below: Lower Multipliers Can Still Improve Your Team

Golden and Spirit Bloom are tied at ×2.5. Bloom is ×1.25 and Silver ×1.2, but both can increase early-game income. Instead of discarding a pet solely because its mutation ranks lower, check how its earnings compare with the pets currently in your base.

The Highest Mutation Multiplier Does Not Always Mean the Highest-Earning Pet

Income before the mutation multiplier matters. In a hypothetical comparison with size and other conditions held equal, a Rainbow pet with base income 100 earns 350, while a Golden pet with base income 200 earns 500. The second pet earns more despite its mutation ranking 5th. For worked examples of weight-related growth and gains from replacing a pet, see our mutation and size comparison.

Comparison factor What to check
Original pet Distinguish the species and its base income before mutation and size modifiers.
Size Pets of the same species can differ in size. Do not compare mutation multipliers alone.
Mutation Check which mutations are present and whether there is one or more than one.
Final income Use this as the final comparison in your base before removing a main pet.

Do Not Simply Multiply Mutation Multipliers When Stacking

Image from: Steal An Egg

MetaNew’s existing guide and community analysis describe multiple mutations as adding each increase to the base multiplier of 1. Golden at ×2.5 adds 1.5, while Rainbow at ×3.5 adds 2.5. The reference calculation is therefore 1 + 1.5 + 2.5 = ×5, rather than 2.5 × 3.5 = ×8.75.

This formula alone may not let you work backward from every pet’s current income. Existing modifiers, size differences, and rounding can change the result. Before using an additional item, compare the same pet’s original display, existing mutations, and display after use.

Worked Multiplier Examples with the Same Base Income

Image from: Steal An Egg

These examples follow the additive-increase method described in our existing guide. Assuming the same pet, size, and other modifiers, let B be income without mutations and m the individual multiplier. B differs from the income displayed before using an item on a pet that already has a mutation.

One mutation: B × m
Multiple mutations: B × {1 + (m₁−1) + (m₂−1) + …}

For example, if income with other conditions held equal is 1,000, Golden alone gives 2,500 and Rainbow alone 3,500. The Golden and Rainbow combination in our existing guide gives 1 + (2.5−1) + (3.5−1) = 5, or 5,000 from the same baseline.

State compared Reference mutation multiplier Example with B = 1,000 Gain over no mutation
No mutation ×1 1,000 0
Silver only ×1.2 1,200 +200
Bloom only ×1.25 1,250 +250
Golden only ×2.5 2,500 +1,500
Fractured or Scrambled only ×2.75 2,750 +1,750
Parasite only ×3 3,000 +2,000
Rainbow only ×3.5 3,500 +2,500
Golden + Rainbow (combination example from our existing guide) ×5 5,000 +4,000

The baseline of 1,000 is hypothetical. Using an already-mutated pet’s displayed income as B and applying the same multiplier again double-counts the effect. This formula also does not establish which new mutations can coexist or the order in which size and other modifiers apply.

A Lower Multiplier Can Win When the Original Income Is Higher

Fractured on a pet with B = 2,000 gives 2,000 × 2.75 = 5,500. Rainbow on a pet with B = 1,000 gives 1,000 × 3.5 = 3,500. With other conditions equal, the first earns more even though the second has the higher mutation multiplier. Compare the target pets’ income before using a rare mutation item.

How Income Changes When Rainbow Is Added to a Golden Pet

In the example above, income rises from 2,500 with Golden alone to 5,000 with both, so the before-and-after ratio is 5,000 ÷ 2,500 = ×2. Do not multiply the currently displayed 2,500 by 3.5 just because Rainbow is listed at ×3.5. Separate existing mutations from the mutation being added.

A 10% Success Rate Does Not Guarantee Success in 10 Uses

Image from: Steal An Egg

Our existing guide describes Fractured and Scrambled items as applied to eggs before hatching with a 10% success rate. If the current use screen also shows 10%, each attempt is independent, and there is no pity system or changing probability, the chance of failing all 10 attempts is 0.9¹⁰ ≈ 34.9%. The chance of at least one success is 1−0.9¹⁰ ≈ 65.1%, not 100%.

“One success per 10 attempts on average” is not a promise that 10 uses will succeed. If the rate remains 10% after failure, the next attempt is still 10%. Before exhausting materials, consider whether the egg is the right target, how much success would improve income, and whether another upgrade would be more useful.

See mutation rarity and success probabilities for examples by attempt count and the difference from standard egg rolls. For acquisition steps, see the mutation list and acquisition routes.

Why Enchanted, Nitro, and Spectral Are Not Ranked Here

Image from: Steal An Egg

We checked information about additional mutations, but sources disagree on Enchanted, including ×2.8 and ×2.85. We also could not independently corroborate current multipliers for Nitro or Spectral. Values with different levels of supporting evidence are not combined in this ranking.

A table of 8 mutations does not mean the game contains only 8. Use the mutation list to research names and acquisition categories, and our Steal An Egg guide for progression that improves income.

Are There Codes That Help You Obtain Mutations?

As checked on October 22, 2026, MetaNew’s Steal An Egg codes list had 0 active codes. We had not confirmed a code that guarantees a mutation item or the existence of a code-entry field. Do not reuse other games’ codes; check new official announcements and the current listing.

What Should Beginners Collect First?

Image from: Steal An Egg
  • Build a stable income by collecting pets from eggs you can bring home.
  • Upgrade the treadmill until you can return safely from more distant areas.
  • Compare new pets by placed income per second, not just mutation names.
  • Check targets, success conditions, and effects before spending event materials.

High individual mutation multipliers are useful, but they do not let you skip carrying eggs and upgrading. Start with choices that improve income in your current base.

For applying the calculations to base upgrades, see replacing pets using income per second. Our guide also explains basic mutation stacking.
